In the early-nineties I was teaching in Toronto and having difficulties with my health. A hysterectomy was recommended. I didn’t want to have surgery and started looking at  alternatives. With the help of herbs and energy work, my health problems disappeared. Soon after my husband needed knee surgery. Again, I looked at different options and with the help of an acupuncture machine and castor oil packs, he also avoided surgery. These two incidents motivated me to learn more about alternative healing. A few years later I retired from teaching and began to study Reiki, Reflexology and a host of other modalities. In 1997, I opened Lighthouse Healing Centre and began the amazing journey of having a practice in the healing arts.
